Duck Face

What what! Modified cow girl for today's no black look. I think my leg line looks a bit stumpy in this outfit. I look short. Namely, it's the shoes - if I'd have worn tall boots or flats, I would have looked much taller and leaner.

I was so impressed I did a half duck face that I had to post it

Tassled

No Black is back! Have I told you that we're coming up on the one year anniversary of Wardrobe Theme Weeks? Yup. The week of March 17 in 2014 was when I first went green for St. Patty's Day last year and it has continued from there. Such a joy! I find it really narrows my closet each week, too, which is helpful.

Side note: A few weeks ago, I read this article on co-washing (or washing my hair with a cleansing conditioner and no shampoo). Based on the rave reviews from said article and other sources that I've collectively read over the years, I decided to try it. So I picked up Carol's Daughter Co-Cleanser at Target last week and went for it last night. This morning, my hair was noticeably curlier and more moisturized! Take a look at how tight the curls are in this photo as compared to this post on Monday. I think there's about a 1/2 inch difference purely in length! My hair is visible curlier and shorter in this picture. It's pretty nuts!

All A Mess

(Note: This is actually from last night. I guess I was so tired, I forgot to hit the Publish button!)

I'm so annoyed. I just spent an hour trying to upload all the pictures from this weekend and they all erased on me. So, here are the pictures from today. Seattle playtime with Brianna will come another time this week when I've cooled my jets.

No Black Week is in full swing. I'm playing it up best I can!

Shaking Things Up

I had a fabulous weekend with one of my besties! Update to come tomorrow. Now let's talk about No Black Week which commenced today. Black is a color we all rely on to serve as a foundation in our wardrobe, so what if it wasn't an option for one week? I got a lot of push back after my Wardrobe Theme Week email went out at work, but I feel confident that leaving black aside for the week can help stir things up and invigorate your current pieces! (Side note: After the email went out, one of my coworkers suggested an All Black Week. Haha. Stay tuned!)

I went with a preppy casual look today. It was so comfy! I love this grey sweater - it's one of my favorites and I bought it at Goodwill for only $8. Sheesh!

Untucking adds a little visual interest, but shortens my leg line

Tucked! Lengthens my leg line, but less interesting

Fat Tuesday

Happy Mardi Gras! To follow suit, it's Mardi Gras Week which equals lots of purple, green, and gold. I'm trying to incorporate every color into each outfit this week. Check it:

Happy Valentine's Day!

I wore a bright red skirt to celebrate Valentine's Eve. And I wore a tulle blush skirt to celebrate Valentine's Day. (Then I forgot to take a picture of it.) I love how the chambray (jean) shirt adds structure and neutrality to the brightness of the skirt in the outfit below. And the shoes are good tool for grounding. They pull down the outfit and make it less dressy.

Hope you had a great V-Day!

On Valentine's Day, I got a much-needed haircut. A few inches lopped off, in fact. You can't really tell in the picture below, but I'm sure you'll be able to tell when my hair is curly. Should be quite a bit shorter which excites me since I was so. sick. of. my. hair!

And a Valentine baby for your viewing pleasure. Archer-gram!
