Short Ode to Friday

Oh Friday, I love you. Especially this week. Especially today. I'm so happy to see you. And Saturday! You're not far behind. (Literally and figuratively.) Now I've gotta go pour myself some wine. Peace out!

Taking Numbers

I went with a Sporty Spice look today. One of my favorite bloggers gave some advice and I didn't even realize that I took it! And duh, we're still rocking the winter whites and taking numbers. (Taking names? Or whatever that saying is.)

Still Winter Whites Week. I took the liberty to pair a blush lace top with a cream blazer and cropped aubergine slacks. Suede oxfords finished off the look. I wish I had wore my geek chic glasses today. Really woulda kicked this outfit up a notch!

Winter White

I spent the weekend in Sacramento! Such fun to see my BFF and her family. Her little one, Warren, is such a sweet pumpkin; he and I had our own love affair the whole time.

We played on the swings

We went to afternoon tea

We went to dinner at a bomb '80s Italian place, had In 'N Out burger, watched a bad Cameron Diaz movie (but let's be honest, all of her movies are bad), and took about 5 walks. We also didn't take many pictures because my camera is out of commission. Anywho, the photos below are taken with a friend's phone. We're doing Winter White this week even though it's 60 degrees in the middle of January!

Bye Bye Birdie

Well, it finally happened. The camera on my iPhone went kaput. So this is the only picture I managed to take today before it went completely dead:

Haha! Photobooth was the only app on which the camera worked in my whollllllllle phone. Classic.

Must get iPhone 6. Pronto.

Chz Woman Rules

Here's what's up:

This month marks 5 years at Seattle Children's Hospital! BOOM! {Fist bump}

My coworkers trying to make me feel better about the game with sweet messages

In other news: It's exactly 3 months until my birthday and we're finishing up Tights Week. I wore a classy jean dress like a lady Canadian tuxedo...or something like that. I even buttoned it allllll the way up as if I were some crazy hipster chick. This is seriously one of the best dresses I've ever bought for $7.99. I'm telling you: GOODWILL IS THE BOMB. And thrift shopping is my most favorite hobby of all time.

Cash or Credit?

Today, my (very stylish) coworker told me that I look like a banker right out of the '70s. (In a good way.) I totally do! "Can I help you open up an account?" That bow at the neck just seals the deal.

Still So Fresh

The loss still hurts (yes, I'm still thinking about it -- it's hard not to when you live IN SEATTLE and are reminded of it every 2 minutes when someone asks you how you're doing) and I'm slowly recovering. I thought I might deem this Black Week to mourn the heartbreaking defeat, but I went with Tights Week instead. It's probably better that I speed up the grieving process so I can *try* to root for the Seahawks in 2 weeks during the Super Bowl.

The Pack Should Have Won

Wah. Wah.

I hate to dwell on lost games, but I am so sad about the Packers loss. We had it and we gave it away! It was a great game (we really brought it), but so heartbreaking to lose. I could almost taste that Super Bowl appearance!

Despite the loss, the week was surprisingly fun and ended with a few pranks on Friday. My coworker (a HUGE Seahawks fan) just absolutely loved when he became a Packer fan on the staff board:

He so didn't love it

His patients were reacting to it, too, which made it all the sweeter

He retaliated with shredded cheese

All the silly rivalry stuff was cracking me up

But see? Packers and Seahawks fans CAN be friends!

Okay, now for my Friday outfit. Still Green & Gold Week:

Reppin' hard in Seattle

We should have beaten you, Seattle!!
